2023 Honoree: Jenny Love Meyer, Class of 1980

We are thrilled to announce that Jenny Love Meyer is the Christ the King Distinguished Graduate Award Recipient for 2024!

Jenny is a 1980 graduate of Christ the King School and continues to share her gifts of time, talent, and treasure with the parish and school community. She graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School and then from Colorado College. Jenny and her husband, John, have a daughter who graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s Catholic School. Jenny was a religious education catechist for many years and she and John have been active in the parish community helping to live out the mission of Christ the King Catholic Church by helping others.

Jenny is extremely active in the larger community. She is currently serving on the executive committee for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, OU Medicine Board of Directors, and is chair of the board of governors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Jenny also served on the board of the American Red Cross, Teach for America, the Foundation of Oklahoma City Public Schools, and the Arthritis Foundation. She is a past chair of United Way Women’s Leadership Society and is an Alum of Leadership Oklahoma City, Class of XVII.

Jenny has been recognized and received many awards throughout the years for her service and outstanding volunteerism in the community. Some of her recognition includes an Oklahoma City University Societies award in acknowledgment of her work with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Leadership OKC’s Paragon Award for outstanding volunteer work, and a Women’s Leadership Award from Langston University. Jenny received the John F. Kennedy Community Service Award from the Santa Fe Family Life Center and, most recently, Jenny and John’s foundation, Love Meyer Foundation, was honored with the Beyond Z in OKC Award from the KIPP Foundation. This award honors those that go above and beyond for the benefit of children.

Jenny’s contributions of time, talent and treasure have made a positive impact in the Christ the King community as well as the larger community. She has put her faith into action through her service to others. We are blessed that she is part of the Christ the King family.

Jenny will be honored at the 10:00 Mass on Sunday, January 21st. We hope you can join us as we recognize Jenny Love Meyer as the 2024 Distinguished Graduate Award Recipient. We thank her for her commitment to serve others.
