My name is Kathleen Edelen and this is my third year teaching at Christ the King. I received my bachelor's in elementary education with an emphasis in special education from Benedictine College. Before going to Benedictine, I graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. It was at these two schools that I built the foundation for my faith. I fell in love with learning and knew I was called to be a teacher. My philosophy of education is based on following in God’s footsteps. He was the first teacher, and I now have the privilege to “be a pencil in his hands.” My number one goal in education is that every student walks into my classroom feeling loved, cared for, and valued. I am so blessed to be a part of the Christ the King family and community.
